In its 90th year, it seems almost fitting that leading radiator manufacturer Stelrad has chosen to expand the range of options for its cast iron column radiators here in the UK. The popularity of cast iron radiators, albeit better manufactured and much more efficient than their elderly predecessors, has seen major growth in recent years, if anything making them even more popular now than they were in their so called heyday back between the mid nineteenth century and the 1920s.

Stelrad is expanding its cast iron radiator offering with two new products, in addition to the current cast iron product that has been well received, giving customers more choice within this growing part of the market. The new products have gone live from April. Merchants can begin selling as soon as their systems are updated, with the official launch date set for 1st July 2026. There will now be three options, the products being named:
Stelrad Hattersley Cast Iron Column – current product
Stelrad Artisan Cast Iron Column – new product
Stelrad Foundry Cast Iron Column - new product
The names have been chosen to lean into Stelrad’s 90th‑year anniversary, linking into Stelrad’s industrial roots, craftsmanship, and longevity. Alongside the new additions, the warranty across the cast iron range is increasing from 5 years to 25 years. The delivery process remains the same, with the same 15‑working day lead time. There is also a Help Guide which can be made available to customers as well.
This update strengthens Stelrad’s position in the cast iron category and gives installers and specifiers more flexibility when discussing premium heating solutions with merchants and installers. This new range now offers more than 500 radiators in a wide range of sizes, formats and designs and offers heat outputs from 358 Btus at Delta T 50 for an Artisan 460mmm high by 205mm wide rad with 3 sections, up to 9554 Btu’s for a 950mm high by 998mm wide Hattersley version with sixteen sections. The ability to select exactly the right size radiator for any room is in the brochure.

The radiators are available with a range of accessories including shrouds and base plates, wall stays, and manual and TRV valves and in a wide range of finishes including chrome, natural brass, natural pewter, satin nickel and unlacquered brass. The new Stelrad Cast Iron Column radiator range adds undoubted charisma to any modern or period home with its distinctive, ageless look and its range of quality finishes. The classic, clean lines suggest a genuine piece from yesteryear whilst offering the very best in quality and craftsmanship to enhance the very latest in heating technology as it slips effortlessly into the superior elegance of today’s most fashionable of décor.
These radiators are floor standing with in-built feet for extra stability as they are significantly heavier than their steel counterparts. “We’re pleased to be able to respond to customer demand and provide this excellent extended range of cast iron radiators,” says Stelrad’s Marketing Director, Chris Harvey. “The arrival of this far wider range confirms our position as a one stop shop for all things radiators and we’re delighted with the early response to the new range we’ve received from installers, merchants and interior designers up and down the UK.”
